We are proud to confirm that the 2020 Komen Greater NYC Race for the Cure will not be cancelled. We are currently re-imagining Race and looking for the best way to balance the current environment with the community celebration we all associate with Race Day. Our 30th Anniversary Race will remain focused on supporting women, men, and families in our community who are impacted by breast cancer every day. Breast cancer does not stop for COVID-19 and neither will we!
With that in mind, we continue to monitor developments and policy decisions, and are building in options and alternatives as needed. Our main planning goal this year is to stay flexible, plan what can be planned, and adapt to events as needed. We truly appreciate your continued support and patience as we navigate through this ever-changing time.
Stay tuned, Race will open up for registration soon!
The Race happens just once a year, but for 1 in 8 women and their families, breast cancer is every day.
When you donate and fundraise for Komen NYC, you're providing life-saving services to underserved New Yorkers, like mammograms, delivered meals, and transportation to and from appointments. You are also contributing to national research to find the cures. The dollars you raise fund both research and health equity.
Together, we are ensuring life is a little easier for women and families in the five boroughs of NYC, Long Island, Westchester, and Rockland.
Together, we Race so one day they won't have to.
Together, we are creating more survivors.
Komen is on a mission: No one should die from breast cancer. Join an army of survivors, thrivers, family, and friends to fund local breast health programs and cutting-edge research to find the cures for breast cancer.
In Komen NYC's 30 years, we've had over 400,000 people race towards one shared goal... no one should die from breast cancer. New Yorkers have raised over $80 million to fund local programs to help thousands of women and their families, and fund national research to find the cures.
Breast cancer is hard. This is a walk in the park! Register now for a celebration of survivors you'll never forget.
Whether you're walking, running, volunteering, a Virtual Participant or a Kid for the Cure, thank you for kicking complacency to the curb. Your time, your donations, and your fundraising help us create more survivors.
